Self Defense class Woodstock GA

One of the things that we trying to do here at the school is find a link between your empty hand training and your firearm training. This weekend we will have Steve Mosley teaching a seminar that is going to do just that. We will be going over methods of combining your basic empty hand movements with the use of the gun also. There are a lot of schools that will teach classes on empty hand combat and then have a class on the use of fire arm. But it is important to study how the to work together. This combination of two major areas of study is called gap-art study.

The study of gap art in any area is a complicated one. It takes a lot of time and effort and training to ingrain the popper proper response needed to be efficient in that area. This is one of the reasons in most commercial martial arts schools you don't see a lot of effort and time spent on gap art It is easier just to teach the basics and then give someone a belt to make them feel they have achieved something they have not.

This is one of the things that separates AMAC from most other schools is we take the Time to developed the whole picture. This will take a little more time then what is most commonly expected from training the martial arts. Today you can call most martial arts schools and ask how long it will take to get a black belt and they will tell you 2 to 3 years. This amount of time for this achievement has grown smaller and smaller over the years for the sake of the business side of martial arts. Actually it is better to hear that it will take 5 to 10 years to receive this rank, when you hear this it should tell you that you are actually going to learn something and not just put it in a certain amount of class hours and be given something that means nothing.
